Moonlight on Hunting Beach Island

Numerous hurricanes have left trees topless and driftwood scattered on the beaches. Once a privately owned hunting ground, it is now a South Carolina public park.

Rusted

On a recent trip with my daughter, I saw this rusty old tricycle in front of an antique store. The shadow pattern on the ground caught my eye as much as the object itself . The only tires that had weathered the years were on the back two wheels. This 16 x 20 is painted on a canvas panel board. The antiqued effect on the outside of the board immitates the feel of the rusty metal on the tricycle. $400

End of the Day

Studying the painting of a Belgian artist, Verschaffelt, I was drawn to the moodiness he captured at the end of the day. It was quiet and serene, making the viewer know that the day was almost over. Using his color inspiration, this framed 9 x 12 is available for $325.

Buddy and Hambone

This commission from a friend was for her husband's 60th birthday. Barney and Hammie had spent the day "fetching" their favorite log in Lake Yonah. Dripping wet, they were ready to go again!

These 16 x 20 paintings, "Pecking Order" and "Barnyard Watch"  were sold as a pair.   I love painting roosters!   They have such wonderful colors, and  definitely have an attitude!
A farm near my home has these beauties running around in the front yard.   With permission, I photographed several,  combined the roosters and hens,  and came up with these compositions.  The top painting is the one in the youtube video, posted earlier.  View the "comment" on the video for more details.

Nest of Somekindabird

These two paintings were sold as a pair. The nest is placed on the left side, so the limb continues on into the right painting with the bird. Instead of using a single canvas, I chose to seperate this into two canvases.
